Pretty much a big panning. My personal impression is this is perfect
for the couch potato homebrewer, who's normal idea of a brew is a Bud.
Then they could win points with their jock friends at their sports
watching parties that they brewed it themselves...
Appropriate for your high school linesmen...
----------
I've tasted beer from one of these and it was alright, better than your
typical big brewer swill but not as good as the typical homebrewer can
make. I tasted it probably 2 years ago.
----------
My roomate brought one of these brewbags back from Ireland. Pretty
simple, i think he just poured warm water in. The bag quickly swelled
up from the fermentation. Like really swelled up--the bag "rang" when
you tapped it with your finger. There was A LOT of pressure in there.
I was glad he was keeping it in his room ;-)

The beer was, alas, terrible. Very watery.
----------
Sure, sure. You can admit it. You want to try one of these...

I haven't myself, but a friend did (yea, that's it, a friend). It was
less-than spectacular, though not disgusting.
----------
They've been in the Charlotte area for awhile. There are a couple of
Christmas shows here in town and the local rep had a booth at both of
them. They seemed to be getting a lot of interest and doing some
sales. I think it was priced a little high for most casual buyers.
That is to say, more pricey than a case of Budweiser. <g>
----------
I've heard the output tastes like flat malty water. Never tried it,
never want to....

Little 'R'. I'll compile.

Has anyone seen the brewbags that are now being sold (I saw one at
Larry's in Queen Anne)?
(just a bag where you add water, pour in supplied yeast and in 3 weeks
get drunk).

Anyone know the story on these? Where they came from? How long
they've been around? If they are any good? If they are having any
success? I think the idea is brilliant... Now the couch potato can be
a homebrewer.
(note: I'm a real homebrewer. I'm just curious, not looking at doing
this...).
